Solution: The side of the small square is 10 cm. The diagonal of this small quare is the square root of (10² + 10²) = square root of 200 cm=14.1 cm. This is the diameter of the circle (red line). The green line is also the diameter of the circle which is 14.1 cm. Therefore the area of the lager square is 14.1² = 200 square cm.
