5-8)  Annie, Betty and Corina went to the farm to pick apples. Annie picked one 3rd of what Betty picked. Betty picked 4 times as many as Corina did. If Corina picked 27 apples, how many apples did Annie and Betty each pick?

                     

                   

 

5-9)  Adams Elementary School wants to plant trees along a 250 foot fence. If the trees are 10 feet apart, how many trees do they need to plant? There is a tree at both ends of the fence.

 

 

5-10)  Nick and his baby brother play blocks. They have built stairs that are 3-cubes tall.
(a) How many more cubes do they need to make the stairs 8 cubes high?
