6-47) It takes 3 roosters 5 minutes to eat 60 bugs. How long does it take 1 rooster to eat 20 bugs? Assume all roosters eat bugs at the same speed.

 


 

6-48) It takes 4 hens 5 minutes to eat 60 bugs. How long does it take 2 hens to eat 40 bugs? Assume all hens eat bugs at the same speed.


 

6-49) Jenny has 15% more books than Kelly? Does Kelly have 15% less books than Jenny?


 

6-50) Zoe's family plans to construct a tiled patio of 20 x 31 square feet. The choices of the tiles are 1 x 1 square foot tiles for $2 per tile and 2 x 2 square feet tiles for $9 per tile. Assume the tiles can be cut (at no cost) to fit small areas. Which size of tiles to use is more economical for Zoe's family (assuming construction cost is the same for both)?
