6-51)  A target includes 5 concentric circles with diameters of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 inches. Assume Jody always hits the target. What is the probability that she hits the area between the 4-inch and 6-inch diameter circles?

 

 

 

6-52)  Ms. Lisa passes out strawberries to a math enrichment class students.  If she gives each student 6 strawberries, she has 28 left.  If she gives each student 8 strawberries, she has 4 left.  How many students are in the class?  How many strawberries does Ms. Lisa have?

 

 

6-53) A restaurant bought some rice on Sunday. Each day the restaurant used 120 pounds of rice.  After 5 days, there was 1/5 of the rice left.  How many pounds of rice did the restaurant buy on Sunday?




6-54) A bakery bought some flour on Monday. Each day the bakery used 60 pounds of flour.
After 10 days, 1/4 of the flour was remaining.  How many pounds of flour did the bakery buy on Monday?


 

6-55) The following figure is formed with identical squares.  The total area of the figure is 36cm².  What is the perimeter of the figure?

6-57) A minivan travels from City M to City N. The two cities are 380 miles apart. The minivan travels at 50 miles per hour for the first 200 miles. It then travels the remaining 180 miles at 60 miles per hour. What is the average speed of the minivan for it's journey from City M to City N? Write the answer in mile per hour.


6-58) A truck goes from City A to City B.  The two cities are 500 miles apart. The truck travels at 50 miles per hour for the first 200 miles and stopped for 30 minutes.  It then travels the remaining 300 miles at 60 miles per hour. What is the average speed of the truck for it's journey from City A to City B? Write the answer in mile per hour.

 

6-59) What is the square root of 121, 144, 169, 196, 225, 256?

6-60) 9 people go to a meeting. How many hands will they shake if they all shake each other's hands?
